Dry Needling
Dry needling is an evidence-based medical technique, used to target specific muscle trigger points. This technique works by inserting a fine monofilament needle into tender and tight sections of muscle and applying an electric stimulus, with the idea of decreasing muscle tension. This technique is different from acupuncture in that it targets specific muscles and not specific regions of the body. This service is not covered by any insurance provider.
Reduces Tension
Dry needling is used to reduce muscle tension in specific muscles. During the needling process, thin monofilament needles are inserted into muscle trigger points. Trigger points develop over time and can be caused by overuse, improper movement patterns, or injury. Treating muscle trigger points allows for a decrease in muscle tension of the treated muscle.

Rapid Relief
Results of dry needling vary from case to case. However, most patients experience some relief of their symptoms within the first 24 hours after treatment.
